JORGE DEL RIO PEREZ

Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences from Universidad de Chile´s Law School (1980).

 

He develops in arbitration, civil and commercial proceedings, and administrative contentious disputes.

He started his professional career in 1980, as an associate in the law firm Figueroa y Coddou, where he then became a partner and which later was Del Río y Parraguez, Estudio (Law Firm) Juan Agustín Figueroa.
 
In the arbitration area, he is an appointed member of the arbitrators corps at the Santiago Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM) of Santiago Chamber of Commerce, since 2013. Also, since 2016 he is an alternate member of the Conciliation Commission “Concesión Internacional Sistema Oriente-Poniente” ("International Concession East-West System").
 
Apart from being a member at Colegio de Abogados de Chile A.G. (Chilean Bar Association A.G.), he was one of the judges of the Ethics Tribunal at said institution, from its beginnings to 2019.
 
In addition, he is a partner at the Asociación por las Libertades Públicas (Association for Public Liberties) and member of the Sociedad de Derechos Literarios (Society of Literary Rights) from the Sociedad Chilena del Derecho de Autor (Chilean Society on Copyright).
